FREE AGENCY RULES
This off-season everyone will have the opportunity to participate in NBA Free Agency.
Free Agency is held every offseason. (Dates will vary per year, Commissioners job to give the league heads-up about when Free Agency will begin).
All players whose contracts have expired will be available to sign, as well as any undrafted rookies. A complete list of eligible free agents will be made public prior to the market opening. The process for bidding on free agents is simple, but must be followed thoroughly and completely.
There will be Restricted, and Unrestricted Free Agents
Unrestricted Free Agent Bidding:
- A public thread will be posted with a starting salary of $.5 MIL.
- Bidders will be able to reply with an offer that MUST RAISE THE PREVIOUS BY $.5 MIL.
- If the offer is not $.5 MIL more, the offer will be invalid.
- However you can bid more than $.5 MIL.
- Team bid that lasts 24 hours without being raised, will be awarded the player.
Restricted Free Agent Bidding:
- A public thread will be posted with a starting salary of $.5 MIL.
- Bidders will be able to reply with an offer that MUST RAISE THE PREVIOUS BY $.5 MIL.
- If the offer is not $.5 MIL more, the offer will be invalid.
- However you can bid more than $.5 MIL.
- Team bid that lasts 24 hours without being raised will be awarded final rights along with owner of that RFA.
- LM/Admin will than notify fellow team with RFA rights that a bid has been attained and they have 24hours to top offer in the allocated post
- Team bid that lasts 24 hours without being raised, will be awarded the player.
